早在七月份的時候，亞馬遜部分賣家就出現瀏覽量變低、銷售成長緩慢的情況，詢問客服之后證實了SEO規則的改變，Search Term的字符由1000個降低為250個，這就意味著又得為你的listing尋找新的關鍵詞優化方式。

這項新政策大約是在八月底公布的，為了提升優化搜索結果的質量，Search Term限制字符修改為250個直接，不過這項通知是以賬號重要通知的形式推送到賣家后臺，只能在英文界面才可以買到，很多賣家都使用中文界面，因此無法查看到這項通知，下面咱們來看看原文和翻譯吧。

Amazon launched a feature that limits the length of the generic keywords attribute to less than 200 bytes in India, 500 bytes in Japan and 250 bytes in every other marketplace except China. The limits have been shown to improve the quality of search results. It applies to newly registered and existing ASINs.

亞馬遜推出了一項新功能：限制通用屬性關鍵詞的字符長度，印度低于200字節，日本低于500字節，非中國站點的其他站點低于250字節。這種限制已經被證明可以有效提高搜索結果質量。它適用于新上架和已經存在的ASINs.

Key Guidelines:

Keep content within the prescribed length limit (less than 250, 200 for India, 500 for Japan): Length limit applies to total content in all generic keyword fields (a max. of 5 attributes).Whole entry will be rejected upon exceeding limit.

內容保持在規定長度以內，長度適用于所有通用關鍵詞的總量(ST五行字節總量)超過限制之后整個條目將會被拒絕。

Number of bytes equals number of characters for alphanumeric characters (e.g. a-z, 0-9) while other characters can be 2 bytes or more. Examples include ? (2 bytes), ￡ (2 bytes), € (3 bytes) or (3 bytes).Spaces and punctuation (";" ",", ".") do not contribute to the length limit, but words should be space-separated. Punctuation between words is unnecessary.

Optimizing keyword content for search discoverability:

Do not include keywords that are not descriptive of the product.

Do not include brand names (even your own) or other product identifiers.

不要包含品牌名(甚至自己的)或者任何產品的商品標識符

Do not duplicate content present in other attributes, such as title and bullet points.

內容不要和其他屬性的內容重復，例如標題，BP等。

No need to repeat keywords; once is enough.

單詞沒必要重復，一次足夠了。

Use keywords that are synonyms, hypernyms or spelling variations of content in visible attributes (e.g. if product title is 'whiskey', use 'whisky' in generic keywords).

使用關鍵詞的同義詞，上義詞或者拼寫變化內容的可見屬性。

郵件中除了說明新規則以外，其實已經給了新規則下Search Term 的優化建議，比較常見的要點主要還是：單詞之間用空格，標點符號會占用字符數，所以不要使用，關鍵詞詞組之類不要重復使用。如果你覺得無從下手，不妨先看看《Search Terms最標準有效的寫法》。

其實縮減了字符數也是有好處的，原先的Search Term總共可以填寫5000個字符，賣家在填寫的時候簡直就可以寫一篇文章了，而且也不利于后續的修改和調整。

只是現在你需要把符合產品的關鍵詞精煉的更加簡潔，因此之前的海量關鍵詞引流也已經無效，關鍵詞的選擇要更加精準的符合產品，并且標題和BP內包含的單詞也不需要放在Search Term里，同時不要包含任意品牌和產品標識符。

更加精簡的關鍵詞可以有效的提升搜索結果的品質，讓搜索結果更加貼近買家想要搜索的商品，雖然規則改變，但是賣家們還是要記住，關鍵詞搜索最重要的內容還是標題和短描述，Search Term只是輔助而已，僅包含標題和要點里面沒有的關鍵字就可以，并且切記不需要重復填寫標題和要點已經有的關鍵詞。

不過就算新規則出來，目前銷量穩定的listing還是不要隨意去更改Search Term，到時候權重排名一瀉千里想救都就不回來，可以選擇新品或者銷量較差的listing進行嘗試。
